About Cobh Triathlon Club

Welcome to the Club

We offer the chance to compete or just train at your own level with a friendly and supportive team

in the beginning…

Cobh Triathlon Club started as a small group of enthusiastic “triathletes in waiting” in 2011 and we have gone from strength to strength ever since. Club membership is growing steadily with 2023 seeing the launch of our long awaited Juvenile section. Our hugely popular Jailbreak Standard Distance triathlon with its iconic swim from Spike Island is a firm favourite on the TI calendar and an event us “orangies” are hugely proud of.
Whether your personal goal is a try-a-tri, a sprint, standard, middle or long distance triathlon or you simply want to swim, cycle and/or run with like-minded people, you will find a warm welcome in Cobh Tri Club and a supportive, fun and encouraging environment to train in.
As well as pool and open water swim events, group cycles and track sessions, our club training days include new to tri sessions, bike maintenance and handling skills, duathlon, aquathon, try-a-tri & transition practice. We are also a fairly social bunch and have been known to enjoy the social side of triathlon at home and away!

To join, visit the Triathlon Ireland website, register and select Cobh Tri as your club. Alternatively come along to our training sessions (details on www.cobhtri.com) or contact us at cobhtriclub@gmail.com to find out more! If you are concerned about your ability don’t be! At each training session, those attending will be grouped according to ability, pace, distance and routes will be set accordingly.
